Some 20 vehicles burnt in Nkpor tollgate - ITREALMS

About 20 vehicles were on Monday in Nkpor near Onitsha, Anambra State, gotten by fire due to faulty container-loaded trailer with a break failure, reports ITREALMS.
Eye witness account informed ITREALMS, the trailer otherwise referred to as container due to its body frame was fully loaded with goods when it lost its brake and hit a fuel tanker.

The incumbent president of Zambia, Mr. Edgar Lungu has accepted defeated in the presidential general election on August 12, reports ITREALMS.

The Media Rights Agenda (MRA) has called on the Federal Government and its relevant agencies to take urgent measures to reverse the steady decline in the number of Nigerians online, saying the Government’s efforts should now be geared towards ensuring that every citizen is connected to the Internet rather than pushing those already connected off the grid.
In a statement issued in Lagos, MRA’s Communications Officer, Mr. Idowu Adewale, noted that from the monthly figures published by the National Communications Commission (NCC) of active Internet subscriptions in Nigeria, the number of active Internet subscriptions in Nigeria has been steadily declining over a period of eight months, between November 2020 and June 2021, the latest month for which subscription data is available.

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof Umar Garba Danbatta has tasked Nigerian youths, who participated in the nationwide digital literacy training conducted by the Commission, to put the skills acquired as well as the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools received during the exercise to appropriate and legitimate use.
Addressing the participants at the closing ceremony of the NCC’s Digital Literacy Training for the North-West held at the Kano Campus of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Danbatta, particularly enjoined the youths who have had the privilege of participating in the training to apply the skills acquired in gainful activities in order for them to be self-employed.

The donation from Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), on behalf of itself, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and other co-venture partners, is part of SNEPCo’s intervention to improve child health care and cater for non-COVID-19 cases in the state hospitals.
