The Awba-Ofemili Development Union (ADU) Health Committee has called for greater vigilance against health-related misinformation, warning that myths and falsehoods about diseases like Buruli Ulcer (Elu-Ulee) could undermine community health development, reports ITREALMS.
This call was made following the successful Awba-Ofemili Community Health Awareness Campaign 2025, themed “Buruli Ulcer (Elu-Ulee): Know the Signs, Stop the Spread,” held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Civic Centre, Awba-Ofemili.
The Commander Corps of Signals (CCS), Major General Nosakhare Ugbo, has carried out an operational assessment visit to the Headquarters of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), charging field commanders to give priority to the protection of critical communication infrastructure in the North East, reports ITREALMS.
Maj Gen Ugbo, who visited the OPHK headquarters in Maiduguri on Saturday, 27 September 2025, said the exercise was in line with the directive of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, to ensure robust and reliable communication support for counter-insurgency operations.
