Recently the Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) petitioned the office of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Alkali Baba Usman, over the abuse of power and discreditable conduct of one senior Police officer, ASP Matthew Abu Michael.

RULAAC in the petition signed by the Executive Director, Mr. Okechukwu Nwanguma gave some background on the disturbances at Isuaniocha in Awka-North Local Government Area of Anambra State since 2018.

The Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) has petitioned the office of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Alkali Baba Usman, over the abuse of power and discreditable conduct of one senior Police officer, ASP Matthew Abu Michael, reports ITREALMS

The petition, a copy of which was sighted by 
ITREALMS was dated April 3, 2022 and addressed to the IGP at Force Headquarters on the rising killings and tensions orchestrated by ASP Matthew Abu in Isuaniocha town of Anambra State.

There has been increase in killings, shootings and harassment and indiscriminate arrest of innocent citizens in the Isuaniocha community of Anambra State since early hours of Tuesday, April 12, reports ITREALMS.

This is coming as Isuaniocha community has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Usman Alkali Baba through the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State, Mr. Echeng Echeng, over the use of one Supol Matthew Abu Michael, to put the town under siege and harassment of citizens whilst underage male children are being arrested.
