Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation, Zinox Group commission AI tech centres in two Lagos colleges - ITREALMS

To boost digital education, the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation (LSEF), in collaboration with Zinox Group subsidiaries including Task Systems, TD Africa, Zinox Technologies Limited, and Konga Group, has commissioned state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Centres at Gbagada Senior Grammar School and Lanre Awolokun High School in Gbagada, Lagos State, reports ITREALMS.

The newly inaugurated facilities are designed to integrate modern computing and digital learning into everyday education. Each centre features cutting-edge Zinox All-in-One desktop computers, large interactive AI-enabled screens, reliable 24-hour renewable energy solutions provided by iPower, and two years of high-speed satellite internet connectivity via Starlink to bridge classrooms to global digital resources.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the Chairman of Zinox Group and founder of the Foundation, Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh, expressed gratitude to the school communities for their warm reception. He urged the students to embrace patience, discipline, and hard work as core pillars for success.

Encouraging the youth to leverage the new technology platforms to drive positive disruption, Ekeh challenged them to become certified global citizens and the nation's next generation of wealth creators.

“This is my prayer for you, as I now see myself as part of these two schools,” Ekeh remarked.

He also made a passionate appeal to federal and subnational governments to elevate the standard of education by ensuring that knowledge workers rank among the highest-paid professionals in the country, stressing that an under-supported teacher cannot deliver optimal results.

Furthermore, Ekeh announced a major incentive for academic excellence, pledging that students who distinguish themselves and graduate with top honors will receive full scholarships and access to exclusive world-class technology training tailored for global competitiveness.

The Gbagada initiative marks the latest milestone in a 38-year legacy of philanthropic technology interventions by the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation, which has successfully executed 123 education and technology projects across primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions nationwide. Past initiatives include equipping digital ICT centres at Imo State University, St. Augustine University in Epe, Federal University Birnin Kebbi, and Holy Ghost College in Owerri, among others.

Highlighting the Foundation's future trajectory, the Director of Studies, Dr. George Emetuche, revealed that resources are now being channeled toward producing 1,000 tech-savvy young Nigerians equipped with globally recognized certifications. Under this initiative, brilliant yet indigent students will receive full university scholarships to study fields like Computer Science and Computer Engineering, with the inaugural batch of beneficiaries to be announced soon.
