The 2025 edition of GITEX Nigeria ended on a remarkable note with a strong show of corporate philanthropy from Zinox Technologies, Nigeria’s foremost indigenous ICT company and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), reports ITREALMS.
At the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, Zinox Chairman, Leo Stan Ekeh, stunned stakeholders when he announced a combined ₦15 million donation to two key professional bodies driving Nigeria’s digital ecosystem; the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and the Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria (CPN).
Ekeh gifted ₦10 million to the NCS, reaffirming his longstanding support for the society’s mission to strengthen Nigeria’s ICT ecosystem.
In addition, he presented a ₦5 million donation to Mrs. Veronica Owolabi, Provost of the CPN College of Fellows, citing her “exceptional commitment and hard work” in promoting technology education nationwide.
According to him, these gestures were not just financial contributions but investments in Nigeria’s digital future:
Far beyond devices, the initiative also integrates uninterrupted power supply via iPower inverters, reliable satellite connectivity through Starlink, training, and after-sales support; making it one of the most holistic interventions in Nigeria’s educational technology sector.
NCS President, Dr. Muhammed Sirajo Aliyu, lauded Zinox’s donation, describing it as a milestone that would “transform classrooms nationwide.”
He particularly thanked Ekeh for his consistency in championing digital education and for sustaining confidence in Nigeria’s potential.
Similarly, industry leaders, including Ajibade Laolu-Adewale, Executive Director at Wema Bank and CeBIH Chairman, praised the intervention while urging government and private sector actors to scale up investments in science and technology education.
By placing education, inclusivity, and professional capacity-building at the centre of its interventions, Zinox is positioning Nigeria for a digitally inclusive future.
