AASDU in a press statement available to ITREALMS in Lagos and signed by the trio of its President, Chief (Sir) Amechi Ebeledike; Secretary, Barr Ubaka Nwonwu and Publicity Secretary, Chidi Abajue saw the successful swearing ceremony as a watershed event following Soludo expressive victory in the November 6, 2021 gubernatorial election.

The group said that in union with Ndi Anambra at home and in the diaspora, AASDU Lagos appreciated God for opening yet another vista of hope for the much anticipated socio-economic renaissance of Anambra, nay the Igboland.

The group also applauded the immediate past government led by Chief Willie Obiano, for sustaining the culture of smooth regime transition for which Anambra State has come to be known.

"That the electoral process was transparently free and fair, is a credit to both the Federal and State governments under their Excellencies, President Muhammadu Buhari and the immediate past Governor Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano respectively," AASDU Lagos president was quoted as saying.

In addition, they commended other contestants for the entire campaign and electoral process which they described as robust in content, dignifying in communication, rancour free in execution and convivial in conclusion.

"Their subsequent contributions to, and/or participation in the trail blazing transition committee that crafted the road map for the rennaissant  Soludo regime is indeed a testament to our unity of purpose as one big family," the group said.

Equally,  AASDU applauded Prof Soludo's inaugural speech, work visit to Onitsha, Okpoko and environs, initial appointments and pronouncements which beautifully set the orientation of his disruptive thinking innovation and engagement for socio-economic renaissance.

"By this, AASDU Lagos sees in him a sign of he who is ready to walk his talk," they said.

Therefore, AASDU assured Soludo their commitment to support the realisation of his laudable transformation of the entire Anambra state, nay Igboland into a modern megacity.

In no distant future, AASDU said, it would be seeking a direct engagement with its Grand Patron, His Excellency, Prof. Soludo to deepen the impact of effective and efficient governance of Anambra State.

"In the interim, AASDU Lagos is of the opinion that security of life and property should be addressed with urgent attention. This will make way for the realization of the much needed "Aku- Luo-Uno Philosophy" as a precursor to integrated development of the South Eastern zone of our fatherland," they said.

Further, AASDU Lagos enjoined Ndi Anambra both at home and in the diaspora, to support  Soludo in whatever way they can, in his search for solutions to make his dream for the rennaissant Anambra a success.
