Reports reaching ITREALMS has it that the coal city has been rocked with protest by the supporters of the Enugu-based priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Enugu State.

ITREALMS gathered that Fr. Mbaka has been missing in action from his Adoration Ministry ground after he purportedly visited the Catholic Bishop of Enugu, Most Rev. Calistus Onaga on Tuesday and has not been seen at the time of filing this report.

This ‘disappearance’ ITREALMS gathered, led to members of the Adoration Ministry, especially the youth on Wednesday took to the street of Enugu to protest Fr. Mbaka’s whereabouts.

Earlier, DAILYPOST had reported that the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) raised the alarm that the priest was missing.

ITREALMS recalls that Fr. Mbaka was in the news lately for asking Nigeria President, General Muhammadu Buhari, retired, to resign or be impeached for failure to live up to his responsibility as president of a country, this however did not go down well with presidency who retorted that he had visited Aso Rock with some contractors and some stalwarts of All Progressive Congress (APC) threatening to report Fr. Mbaka to the Catholic Pontiff.

Also, ITREALMS recalls that Fr. Ejike Mbaka was a major voice in campaigning for APC and enthronement of General Buhari as President in 2015 and 2019.

By noon on Wednesday, ITREALMS reliably gathered that protest broke at the coal city over Fr. Mbaka’s disappearance as he has not picked calls since last seen early Tuesday.

Equally, ITREALMS sighted a purported notice summoning all youths of the ministry to the Adoration ground with an urgency.

Part of the notice read:

“Important!“ Good morning friends and well-wishers. Please if you know you stand for justice and you do not want the lone voice that speaks for the poor in this country to be silenced, gather at Adoration ground let’s go for a protest at the Bishop’s court.

“Fr. Mbaka is nowhere to be found. He went yesterday to answer the Bishop’s call and up till now, he’s not taking his calls. Let’s gather! SSG.”

Further, ITREALMS gathered that followers of Adoration Group stormed the Bishop’s Court demanding that he produces Fr. Mbaka.
