Friday, Second Week of Lent B (March 5/2021)
Your Daily Blessing: May the Lord lift you up from the pit your enemies dug for you and establish you to their envy. Amen.
Read Gen 37:3-28; Matt 21:33-46; pray psalm 105[4].
NARRATION: A friend of mine once told me how he went to the park to travel, entered a particular vehicle, but an incident occurred that caused quarrel between him and another passenger. He was forced down from that vehicle and he had no choice but to board another one that was going much later.
He was so mad because he had an important program he was rushing to attend. On their way, he was shocked to see that first vehicle had a terrible accident with many fatalities. He was speechless.
All his regrets were turned to thanksgiving.
The story of Joseph is there to teach us that all the circumstances of our life are known to God long before we were born.

Often what we see as terrible situations are there as ‘investments’ to be cashed in the future with greatest interest. God’s plan in our lives are much better than our plans. Nobody can change God’s plan for us except ourselves.
PRAYER: Merciful Father, sometimes I find myself in a hole like Joseph. I feel betrayed by friends and family, and abandoned by you. Please let me see the bigger picture! Let me see your guiding hand in all the difficult situations of my life. Amen
