FCMB MD marriage scandal: Petitioners upgrade to 5,000 signatures, hint on plan B - ITREALMS

The group under the aegis of ‘Justice for Tunde Thomas’ has crossed upgraded their initial signatures from 2500 to 5,000, reports ITREALMS.

This, ITREALMS gathered was in effort to keep authorities at First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on their toes towards taking action.The group, ITREALMS also gathered while appreciated supporters so far and hinted on its plan B which is organizing peaceful protest in front of both FCMB and CBN head offices respectively.

But some supporters were of the opinion that since most of them are not resident in Lagos and Abuja where the head offices are located, it should be held nationwide. 

As at the 9.30pm on Monday night, ITREALMS equally gathered, the petition has crossed the initial 2,500 signatures and has a current record of 2,729, hence they are urging for more signatures to keep the subject trendy especially online. 

Also, ITREALMS gathered that the latest upgrade on Change.org, entitled “Update from an insider in FCMB” the group said they have just been informed by mid-day of Monday, January 4, 2021 that FCMB press statement for lack of not reacting. 

They alleged that the bank was of the opinion that the ‘noise’ will die down giving a week and the bank is capitalizing on that. 

According to the group in a hurriedly written update, noted that this effort should serve as deterrent for Chief Executives who engage in such act with young ladies and even married women due to their economic power and influence over their subordinates. 

“All we are requesting for is an investigation into this conduct.” 

“To this a peace rally in front of the head office of FCMB and CBN will be an option and the modalities will be communicated in due course.” 


The group further expressed deep appreciation to each of the over 2500 that have signed and shared the petition.

Meanwhile, some supporters are suggesting a nationwide peaceful protest across the offices of FCMB and CBN.

"What about in all the branch offices? We are not all resident in the location of the Head Office of CBN and FCMB." one of the signatories said. 


Part of the update read:

We must be resolute as this should as a deterrent for C suite execs who engages in this act with young ladies and even married women just because they have economic power and influence over their subordinates. All we are requesting for is an investigation into this conduct.
