"The death of the newspaper mogul has created a big vacuum in the media industry," he said.

Nda-Isaiah, he also said, would be remembered for his unflinching and disposition to fighting the ills of the society through the pen, stressing that he was a resolute and dogged believer in a better Nigeria.

His death, the council chair noted, came as a great shock not only to media community but to the entire country and whose death came at a time his services were mostly needed by the media industry.

"The Lagos Council of NUJ prays that the good Lord will grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and give his entire family, friends, political associates and members of staff of Leadership Newspapers the fortitude to bear the loss," Ajayi said.

ITREALMS recalled that Nda-Isaiah contested the presidential ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2014 and was held in high esteem by his immediate community and until his death, he held the high chieftancy title of `Kakaki Nupe’.
