Fleet Technology opens office in Ghana

In order to enlarge its scope in the West African region, an online service company based in Lagos, Fleet Technology Limited (FTL) Nigeria has opened its office in Ghana.

Managing Director, Fleet Technology Limited, Mr. Kunle Akinniran, said that his firm’s decision to open office in the West Legion, Ghana is part of the company’s strategic resolve toward providing innovative and accessible information and technology solution for the sub-region.

He also said that FTL at inception, promised to change the conduct of business online in Nigeria and now intends to change the face of the industry in Ghana.

He explained that Fleet Technologies, a leading provider of ICT solutions, pioneered online solutions since 2002, with its products on offer include online result checkers for the National Examinations Council (NECO), The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).

Other products, he said, include online registration solutions and membership portals for professional organizations.

“The purpose of opening a Ghana office is to position our company to effectively serve the bourgeoning Ghana market and take advantage of the technology revolution occasioned by the growth in their economy and indeed, across the sub-region,” he asserted.

Stressing that the Ghana office would take after the traditional professional roles of the parent company to position itself to be a company of first choice in the provision of innovative and accessible information and communications technology solutions in the Ghana region.

“It currently has enough vibrant workforce to make a statement, more so with the subsisting service agreement with the West African Examinations Council to develop online registration, result checking and result verification services for the council. It is already prospecting other clients,” Akinniran said.

Equally, addressing stakeholders at the ceremony in Ghana, Mr. Akinniran assured on the focus of the company, saying that it would be to leverage its existing products in Nigeria by replicating them in similar institutions and organizations across the regions.

Already, he said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been endorsed between FTL and Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana.

“While we are holding discussions with other government parastatals on revenue monitoring and management solutions so as to offer a bouquet of value added offerings including revenue loss control, revenue growth thru the solution reach, aggregated and timely information, faster decision making processes among others,” he said.
