The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has approved the promotion of 1 Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM), 9 Corps Commanders (CC) to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) and 26 Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) to the rank of Corps Commander, reports ITREALMS.

The approval came at the end of the meeting of the Commission on 12 April, 2021, ratifying the resolution of the Establishment Committee of FRSC on promotion of Senior Officers, where the exercise was diligently deliberated upon. 

Disclosing this to ITREALMS, the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, revealed that the promotion takes effect from 12 April, 2021.

Mr. Anthony Ikpeama, who allegedly killed the wife on hospital admission has been arrested in Lagos and still in the Police custody, reports ITREALMS.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced a 37.21 % decrease in cases of pipeline vandalism across the country in the month of January 2021, reports ITREALMS.

This is contained in the January 2021 edition of the NNPC Monthly Financial and Operations Report (MFOR), according to a press release by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the Corporation, Dr. Kennie Obateru.

The Media Rights Agenda (MRA) has concluded plan to host a two-day Litigation Workshop for Lawyers on the Safety of Journalists on April 14 and 15, 2021 designed to enhance the capacity of lawyers to litigate cases on behalf of journalists and media organizations that are threatened or under attack in an effort to combat impunity for such attacks against journalists, reports ITREALMS.

The workshop, which will take place in Abuja, is supported by the Global Media Defence Fund (GMDF) through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and will bring together 30 participants drawn from different states across Nigeria.
