A total of seven medical ambulances were deployed by EMRO to assist victims from various #EndSARS protests across Lagos and Abuja, reports ITREALMS.

This, ITREALMS gathered paved way to saving of lives associated to 60 per cent of unconscious and sustained multiple injuries.

Sources close to the emergency ambulance service provider, EMRO, confirmed to ITREALMS that majority of the patients were bleeding severely following gunshot injuries, while others had compounds fractures while some had punctured wounds from stabs from machetes and dangerous objects.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed outrage over the illegal fines imposed by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on Channels Tv, Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Arise Tv, over alleged “unprofessional coverage” of the #EndSARS protests, report ITREALMS.

NUJ also alleged the federal government was sending a direct signal to the rest of the country that it had no respect for free press and independent media which remain major hallmarks of a thriving democracy.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has given its nod to two mobile network operators (MNOs) to carry out trial on National Roaming Service for a period of three months, reports ITREALMS.

This trial, ITREALMS gathered had commenced from August 1, 2020 and to end by October 31, 2020.

Confirming this to ITREALMS, the Director, Public Affairs at NCC, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde said the two telecoms companies are Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) Nigeria and the Emerging Markets Telecommunication Service Limited (EMTS), trading as 9Mobile in Nigeria.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has commiserated with the Government and people of Lagos State and especially the victims over the unfortunate tanker explosion which occurred on the Otedola Bridge, in Lagos, in the early hours of Saturday. 

According to reports, the unfortunate incident occurred when a container truck loaded with fabric experienced a brake failure and collided with a 33,000ltrs fuel tanker loaded with Premium motor spirit (PMS), belonging to a downstream operator, the impact of which resulted in the fire outbreak.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has refuted reports in a section of the media alleging that it paid bribe to the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and provided funds for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to buy votes in the just concluded Ondo State gubernatorial election, reports ITREALMS.

I heavily grieve for those who have lost their lives or been injured during the period of these protests. My deepest sympathies go to their families and loved ones for none should have been made to pay such a dear price. My career as an active politician spans nearly three decades. In that time, I have seen many things as Nigeria has struggled, sometimes against itself, to undertake the often painful yet inexorable push toward democratic government accountable to, and protective of, the people.

Though this journey, I have traversed the landscape of human experience. Curfew update: Lagos relaxes restriction, movement now 6am to 8pm - ITREALMS

The Lagos State Government (LASG) has reviewed the curfew introduced in the state since Tuesday last week, reports ITREALMS.

With the latest development, Lagos State said its relaxing the curfew time to now between 8pm to 6am.

According to the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, informed ITREALMS that "the curfew in Lagos State has been reviewed. Restriction time is now 8pm to 6am."

He advised Lagosians to plan their journey times as they go about their lawful businesses.

"All public and private schools remain shut till further notice" Omotoso said.
