247ureports.com hacked! “Breaking News: Prof Barth Nnaji, Minister of Power, Resigns”


Acclaimined online news site, the 247ureports.com, may have been hacked, ITRealms can authoritatively reveal.
An electronic mail sent to ITRealms with the subject “Breaking News: Prof Barth Nnaji, Minister of Power, Resigns” ended up being hoax.
Consequently, the link shows that 247.ureports.com has been hijacked by unknown persons with a warning that

Reported Attack Page! From, indicated that the web page of 247ureports.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Also, it was alleged that attack pages try to install programmes that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damanage your system.
While some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.

Further investigations by ITRealms to show that Diagnostic page for 247ureports.com under the Advisory by Google, showed that the site is listed as suspicious and visiting same site may harm one’s computer.

It was gathered that of the 54 pages Google claimed to have tested on the site over the past 90 days, 0 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent.
“The last time Google visited this site was on 2012-08-26, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2012-08-26,” part of the diagnosis stated this site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS26496 (PAH).
Additionally, the Advisory stated “Over the past 90 days, 247ureports.com did not appear to function as an intermediary for the infection of any sites.” Even as this site hosted malicious software over the past 90 days.
“It infected 3 domain(s), including ukpakareports.com/, yahoo.com/group/AnambraForum/, yahoo.com/group/NaijaExcel/,” part of the advisory stated.

Weeklong strike by JORAISU cripples R & D centres nationwide

The much reported meetinb between the Federal Government and leadership of Joint Research and Allied Institutions Sector Unions (JORAISU), may have failed as Federal Institutions have continued their indefinite national strike.

JORAISU is made up of   Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), The Senior Staff of Universities,Teaching Hospitals, Research Institute and Associated Institutions (SSAUTHRIAI), Senior Staff Union of Research, Development and Associated Institutions of Nigeria (SSURDAIN) and Academic Staff Union of Research Institutes (ASURI).

Their demands includes:
1.       Payment of 1 year arrears of 53.37per cent salary (July 2009 and July 2010)
2.       Immediate conclusion of the review of the conditions/scheme of service
3.       Immediate implementation of January 2011 agreement
4.       Withdrawal of the retrogressive circular on non-skipping of grades
5.       Establishment of National Research Institutes  Commission (NARICOM)
6.       Stoppage of continued appointment of DGs/EDs/Provosts from outside R &DIs
7.       One single term tenure of 5 years for chief executives.
