Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 8th Executive Committee Meeting of the Northern Traditional Rulers' Council (NTRC), the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, emphasized that the administration views traditional rulers not merely as custodians of culture, but as essential pillars of governance and peacebuilding.

The Oko Community in Orumba North Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State has concluded arrangements for the burial and final rites of passage of its traditional Prime Minister, Onowu Oko, Ichie Martin Ezeosim, scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2025, reports ITREALMS.
The passing of the late Onowu was jointly announced by His Royal Highness, Igwe Prof. Laz Ekwueme, Eze Ijikala II, and his cabinet; the Oko People’s Union (OPU); and the family of the deceased.

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has felicitated traditional rulers in the state and across the globe on the celebration of this year's World Ifa Festival, underscoring the spiritual undertone of the festival to the Yoruba race.
Governor Adeleke who congratulated the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja I, and the Araba Agbaye, Araba Awodotun Aworemi Mokoranwale II, on the occasion, recognized the deep spiritual bearing of the festival on adherents.
