AFRINIC, Court Receiver pledge full cooperation to companies' registrar - ITREALMS

Following the Mauritian government's decision to declare the African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC) Ltd a "declared company," the court-appointed receiver and the AFRINIC team have publicly committed to full cooperation with the impending investigation, reports ITREALMS.

This pledge comes as AFRINIC commenced allocation of IPv4/IPv6 resources, as the government initiated a probe into the affairs of the regional internet registry, citing "questionable" legal processes and operational disruptions.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) and the Organization of the Oil Exporting Countries (OPEC) have pledged to work closely together to achieve the nation’s aspirations to attract investments and grow production, reports ITREALMS.

The two organizations came to this accord when the Secretary General of OPEC, Haitham al-Ghais, paid a courtesy visit to the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Mr. Mele Kyari, at the NNPC Towers on Wednesday.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), and the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, have promised to continue to drive policy initiatives that promote investment in infrastructure in the Nigerian telecom industry in order to deepen connectivity to enhance the nation's growth and development.
The duo stated this on the sideline of the reception marking the landing of the Equiano undersea Cable System in Nigeria at the Open Access Data Centre at Lekki in Lagos.
