The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reported a substantial improvement in its Net Foreign Exchange Reserve (NFER) position which stood at $23.11 billion, as of the end of 2024, reports ITREALMS.This, CBN also noted, reflected a substantial improvement in the country’s external liquidity, reduced short-term obligations, and renewed investor confidence.

New Naira notes racketeering lands Oando Accountant in ICPC net - ITREALMS

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arrested an accountant of Oando Filling Station, Dutse Alhaji, Abuja, over alleged racketeering of the new Naira notes, reports ITREALMS.
Confirming this to ITREALMS, the spokesperson to ICPC, Mrs. Azuka Ogugua said that this latest arrest followed the continued onslaught by the Commission on some elements who have taken advantage of the scarcity of the new Naira notes to swindle unsuspecting Nigerians.

First NET GM, Victor Adetunji Haffner is dead
Mr Victor Adetunji Haffner, the
first Chief Executive Officer( CEO), Nigerian
External Telecommunications Ltd (NET) is died, ITRealms reports.
Born on 1st September, 1919 in
Lagos State, Haffner
was the man who conceived the NECOM House, a tower block of 32 levels which
stands as tallest building in Lagos,
even till date.
Engr. Haffner, ITRealms reports contributed immensely to the development of engineering and represented Nigeria in many International conferences on Telecommunication.

Worthy of note, ITRealms gathered was that in 1974, he was appointed President of the Administrative Council of International Telecommunications Union, the specialized agency of United Nations responsible for World Wide Telecommunications Systems.
And between 1969 and 1972, ITRealms also reports, Pa Haffner represented Nigeria at the Intersat
Conference in Washington DC, which established the definitive arrangements for
the Global Satellite Telecommunication Systems.
He retired
in 1975 to set up his consultancy firm, Telecoms Systems West Africa Limited.
Pa Haffner was equally the first registered Engineer in the books of Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) as well as Past President of the Council of
Registered Engineering Regulation of Nigeria (COREN) and Fellow, the Nigerian
Society of Engineers.
