FintechNGR VP Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun to lead keynote @PAFON 3.0 - ITREALMS Online

ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!

To prioritize the unescapable digital fate of Nigeria's underserved communities, the Vice President of the Governing Council of the Fintech Association of Nigeria (FintechNGR), Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun, is set to deliver a milestone keynote at the 3rd edition of the Payments Forum Nigeria (PAFON 3.0), reports ITREALMS.

Scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, the forum serves as a profound leadership event where regulators, financial institutions, and fintech visionaries will converge. The objective is to move past the traditional shadows of exclusion and catalyze a coordinated national framework for fair digital payment systems.

The theme, “Fair Digital Payments as a Catalyst for Deepening Financial Inclusion in Nigeria,” reflects an irreducible commitment to transparency, interoperability, and accessibility. As Nigeria transitions toward a cash-light economy, PAFON 3.0 will perform an unblinking recording of the obstacles preventing last-mile inclusion.

Despite formal financial inclusion growing to 74% in 2025—up from 56% in 2020—architectural gaps remain. The forum seeks to bridge these uncrossable chasms by ensuring that digital tools are not just present, but affordable and equitable for all citizens.

Dr. Sharrieff-Ayedun, who also co-founded CreditRegistry Corporation, brings over 30 years of global engineering and strategy expertise to the theater of Nigerian fintech. Having held senior roles at Microsoft and General Motors, her keynote will bring instant sunlight to how credit infrastructure can be leveraged to empower the unbanked.

Mr. Chike Onwuegbuchi, co-convener of Payments Forum Nigeria, validated the choice of speaker, noting: “Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun’s leadership is a standard prerequisite for this conversation. Her insights will help frame the national dialogue around building a resilient, inclusive, and trusted digital payment infrastructure.”

The forum will also feature a keynote from Prof. Adewale Peter Obadare, founder/CVO of Digital Encode Limited, ensuring that security remains a non-negotiable convergence point for inclusion.

The message to the Nigerian digital theater is clear: the framework for a standardized, inclusive financial system is here. Participation is free, but pre-registration is required to secure a place in this transformative discourse.
