The Senior Special Assistant on Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, offer to Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger recently released from Kirikiri prison, a job with a monthly salary of ₦500,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Delta State is receiving a heavy backlash, reports ITREALMS.According to Ossai on his Instagram page, the package includes a monthly salary of ₦500,000, flight tickets to and from Delta State, accommodation in a five-star hotel, a guided tour of Delta State's attractions, and a ticket to attend the Delta Social Media Summit on August 28, 2025, in Asaba.
As a senior special assistant on media, Ossai Ovie Success is responsible for managing the governor's media presence and communicating government activities to the public. He has been instrumental in promoting Delta State's image and showcasing its attractions.
The offer has since sparked controversy, with many Nigerians, especially Deltans, questioning the legitimacy of the job offer and the motivations behind it. Some critics argued that the funds could be better utilized empowering local graduates and artisans, while others questioned why Emmanson, a non-Delta native, is being offered a job over local residents.
