The president of AIMAN, Sir Williams Ngerem, gave this applause on behalf of the group while speaking at the 2024 World Aeronautical Information System (AIS) day celebration, at the Lagos Travel Inn, Ikeja, with the theme, “Efficient Data Management in an Automated Environment” saying that intervention fund for NAMA would go a long way in completion of AIS automation.

In addition, Ngerem said, the intervention fund would contributed immensely the upgrading of navigational aids surveillance and communication facilities.

"We, therefore, appeal to the Honourable Minister and the Managing Director of NAMA to sustain this unprecedented and renewed commitment to bring AIS automation to completion," he said, stressing it would enhance air-to-ground communication with other benefits to the Nigerian airspace.

He described this year’s theme as pertinent in the light for the fact that any organization that wants to ensure that information is properly structured, saved, and used must have efficient data management.

"Effective data management is especially more important in automated environments where data is created and analyzed quickly," Ngerem said.

The ability to quickly process and evaluate massive amounts of data, Ngerem pointed out, is one of the main advantages of effective data management in an automated setting.

"Organizations may easily gather, store, and retrieve data with the aid of automated tools and technologies, enabling them to base their decisions on accurate and current information," he maintained.
