The infrastructural development in Akwa Ibom State is gaining attention beyond the shores of the oil-rich state, reports 
ITREALMS.

This was the submissions of most participants in the facility of tour of the state as part of the 35th celebration across the state and has left Uyo, the state capital agog for some two weeks.
Confirming this in a chat with 
ITREALMS, the Secretary to the Akwa-Ibom State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem said in Uyo after the unveiling of the Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (retired) statue and commissioning of IBB Flood Control project in Uyo on Tuesday, maintaining that they are not done yet.

He pointed out that their road network under the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel is second to none in the country.

“Our road infrastructure network is second to none,” he asserted, stressing that every of the 31 local government areas are well accessible by road.

According to him, there is no local government that is not accessible to Uyo in 60 minutes.

For him, the Governor Udom Emmanuel, is not yet done, especially on roads as he continued to remodel the old two lanes and expanding them to either six or eight lanes.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Barrister Ini Ememobong Essien, pointed out that Governor Udom Emmanuel from onset of his administration on May 29, 2015 has not relented as he continued to strategically deliver on his campaign promises.

This, he said, has led to setting up of various viable industries, revamping the health sector and contributing economically viable roads to boost food sufficiency to mention but a few.

Equally in attendance was the Special Adviser on Publicity to Gov. Udom, Prince Chris Abasieyo and Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Ekerete Udoh.
