A veteran Information and Communication Technology (ICT) journalist and communications specialist, Prince Olubayo Abidoun, has been named the "Tech Media Icon of the Year" at the 2022 edition of Titans of Tech (TOT2022), reports

The award presented by the chief executive chairman of Programos, Mr. Amos Emmanuel at the weekend was chaired by the former Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and current Chairman, MTN Nigeria, Engineer (Dr.) Ernest Ndukwe.
ITREALMS recalls that Olubayo Abiodun was until recently the Managing Editor, Africa Telecom & IT published by the management of Telecom & IT Business. He is a seasoned journalist and administrator.

ITREALMS reports that the two-day event commenced with Pan Africa Digital Initiative Summit and Expo with the broad theme: Leveraging Right Policies and Technologies in Taming Insecurity and Cyber-Threats where Abiodun was presided a panel session.

In addition, Governors of Edo, Zamfara and Nasarawa States were among other individuals and corporate bodies honoured with various categories of awards for their contributions to the ICTs and IT development in Nigeria.

The event was powered by Techtv driven by the indefatigable, industrious, creative and ever boisterous Don Pedro Aganbi.

"I did not take the honour and privilege for granted. Much appreciated as we continue to give honour to media personalities who continue to endure the thankless mandate of shaping policies and getting our societies and people informed," Abiodun declared after receiving his award.
