The Minister of Power Engr. Sale Mamman has proclaimed the appointment of Dr. Nnaemeka Ewelukwa as the new Managing Director for the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) Plc, reports ITREALMS.

Until his latest appointment, Dr. Ewelukwa, was NBET’s General-Counsel and Secretary and replaces the controversial Dr. Marilyn Amobi, who has since been directed to handover and proceed on terminal leave with immediate effect.

The Special Adviser Media & Communications to the Minister of Power, Mr. Aaron Artimas, in a press statement available to 

ITREALMS, said the appointment is in furtherance of the reorganization cum realignments in the power sector.

According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier approved the recommendation to this effect.

ITREALMS recalls that Dr. Ewelukwa, a lawyer comes to this position with over twenty years’ experience, cutting across private practice, academics and the power sector.

A specialist on privatization and legal energy reforms, Dr. Ewelukwa is equally a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration.
