Centre LSD opens more peer learning clubs for in-out-of school girls in Adamawa - ITREALMS

ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!

The Centre LSD in partnership with Malala fund under the Community Led Collective Action for Girls Education (C-CAGE) will on Monday 18th, 2021 commission 9 new peer learning clubs (Masu Son Ilimi) in three local government in Adamawa State.

So far, the Centre has established 16 safe spaces which has provided opportunities to engage in several reintegration and empowerment activities. The safe space club for girls is mentor-led by the Centre’s facilitators supervised by community education advocate/committee. The mentors train and teach girls to complement government schooling and improving the acquisition of basic literacy, numeracy and vocational skills by girls.

A statement by Mrs Frances Igwilo, the Education Champion for Malala fund, said the Peer clubs will hold twice a month at designated locations in the 3 local governments. 

The Maso, Son, Ilimi (Advocates for Education) girls learning club focused on improving access and quality of schooling for rural and low-income girls in Northern Nigeria.

The space is open to girls of 11–20-year age residing of communities identified. She enjoined parents and members of the public to join in the campaign for girl-child education especially in northern Nigeria and encouraged well-meaning citizens to follow proceeding of the Peer Clubs by following us on our Instagram and facebook handle @centrelsd and hashtag #Girls2School #Girls@SchoolAdamawa ####

Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
