The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) today September 25, 2021, flagged-off its first Leadership School Annex in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
The school which will be run in partnership with Neighbourhood Environment Watch Foundation (NEW Foundation), will train leaders by attempting to unravel the complexity of leadership and offering a framework that will help people to become great leaders.
A release by the Director of Leadership of Centre LSD, Dr. Emenike Umesi, said the opening of the Ebonyi State chapter of the school, brings the number of the leadership School annexes across the country to four (4).
The Ebonyi chapter like others, shall be operated free of charge so that it can reach people who otherwise will not be able to afford high quality leadership schools. The faculty members shall also teach as volunteers as a way of giving back to society.
Over 80 students of the 1st set took their matriculation oath at the event. The Founding Executive Director of Centre LSD and visioner of the Leadership School, Dr. Otive Igbuzor was also on hand to deliver the inaugural lecture.
The release enjoined all well-meaning Southeast citizens to take advantage of the existence of the leadership school in the region, to improve their leadership capabilities
