Yisa Shofoluwe finally kicks bucket - ITREALMS

Remember him, the former Super Eagles defender, Yisa Shofoluwe, has reportedly dead on Tuesday night over associated COVID-19 complications, reports ITREALMS.

This is coming as the Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare facilitated financial support and his movement from a private hospital to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi-Araba, Lagos late on Monday.


ITREALMS gathered that Yisa, also known as Dean of Defence died in LUTH on Tuesday night as more funds were being organised for his treatment.

Despite suffering brain disorder, he was reported to have died from complications associated with Coronavirus (COVID-19) ailments.

For over five years, between 1983 and 1988, Yisa Shofoluwe ITREALMS also gathered, held the right full back position of the Super Eagles and played actively at the 1984 and 1988 African Nations Cups.

He was one time assistant coach of the Golden Eaglets and also assisted at Gateway FC of Abeokuta.
