Container kills one, injures two @ Ijeora-Lagos

A container, Thursday fell at the Sifax Container Terminal, Ijora, Lagos, leading to the death of one person and inflicted injuries on two others, reports ITRealms.

The deceased, ITRealms gathered, identified as Ezinne, according to reports by Vanguard, while the injured were identified as BabatundeAdemowo and Jide James.

It was also reported that a team from the Emergency Rescue Team comprising Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, men of the Lagos State Fire Service and the Nigerian Police and others were sighted at the scene recovering the deceased from the rubble some five hours after the incident.

Chatting with correspondents, LASEMA, General Manager, Mr. Akin Akindele, said that the agency’s assessment indicated that operational activities were carried out without floodlights and safety procedures.
