Lagos Magistrate sends Yetunde Osijo to Kirikiri Prison for alleged car denting

ITRealms:
A Lagos State Magistrate, Funke Sule-Amzat has allegedly sent a mother of three, Yetunde Osijo to Kirikiri Prisons in for daring to dent her car on Monday, reports ITRealms.

The unconfirmed report which is seen as unjust and woman inhumanity to woman, as at press time, informed ITRealms that an eye witness reports that on Monday, March 21, the driver of Sule-Amzat, who is a magistrate at the Ogudu Magistrate court, allegedly bumped into Osijo’s car but instead of apologizing, the magistrate ordered that she should be arrested, and taken to her court and promptly ordered Osijo be detained at Kirikiri prison without any legal representation.

“Magistrate Sule-Amzat has just ordered that Yetunde Osijo be locked up in Kirikiri prison for scratching her car earlier today. However, it was the Magistrate’s driver that was liable. At the time when the minor accident occurred, Yetunde assumed she was asked to leave only to realise that Sule-Amzat’s car was chasing her and then bumped her car from behind. She stopped her car and the magistrate ordered that Yetunde Osijo be detained,” the witness said.

Also, on Monday, Mrs Osijo was reportedly tried with her accuser being the judge and jury, as there was literally no other witness, including her driver who allegedly drove the car on Monday was absent in the Magistrate’s court to testify.

ITRealms further gathered that before Mrs. Osijo was arrested, tried and sent to Kirikiri Prisons, she was taking her three-year old twin boys to the hospital.

Already, friends and families are calling for her immediate release, mostly since she is not a criminal.

As at press time, efforts made to reach Magistrate Funke Sule-Amzat remain abortive.
