A press statement from the mission available to ITRealms, US has confirmed that it received information that groups associated with terrorism may be planning to mount attacks against hotels in Nigeria that are frequented by westerners.

“No further information is available regarding the timing or method of attack,” part of the statement read.

The mission further urged citizens to review their personal security plans; remain aware of their surroundings; and monitor local news stations for current information and updates.
