APC opens swap centre in Lagos

The APC by Schneider Electric has opened a swap centre in Ikeja, Lagos, to provide warranty support on single phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPSes) as well as assist Nigerian customers with onsite support related to three phase solutions.

Declaring open the centre, Country President, Schneider Electric Nigeria, Mr Marcel Hochet, last week, while also hosting APC distributors, major resellers and end-users, said the goal is to offer quicker response to customers request and needs.

“The main goal of the swap centre is to offer quicker response times and a higher level of service for warranty exchanges of single phase UPS units for local customers, as well as ensuring that three phase equipment receives the proper maintenance for optimal performance,” he said.

Mr. Hochet said the centre represents an effort to achieve greater customer intimacy and improved service delivery.

In his comments, the recently appointed director, English speaking for West Africa at APC by Schneider Electric, Mr. Ayo Labade said they believe the centre would impact on customer satisfaction in the coming months.

“In line with our goal to provide the same level of service everywhere, this swap centre is part of a global services programme that includes the establishment of six swap centres across the African continent as the first phase,” he disclosed.

Also, he advised that Nigerian businesses in need of field support service on three phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPSes), contact this centre for assistance.

Explaining that the Nigerian swap centre was within the Schneider Electric warehouse in Lagos and is managed by APC by Schneider Electric’s newly appointed field service engineers.
