Systemspecs wins award @ ‘09 NITMA

Leading Nigerian software house, SystemSpecs, was at the weekend named the ‘Software Company of the Year’ at the National Information Technology Merit Awards (NITMA) organized by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) in Lagos.

Commenting after receiving the award, the Managing Director, SystemSpecs, Mr. John Obaro, said his firm is humbled by the recognition.

“We are humbled by this recognition especially when it is coming from your industry and colleagues, it certainly says alot. SystemSpecs would continue to put her best foot forward at all times. We will also continue to strive for excellence in all that we do to protect the integrity of the award and the industry. We thank the NCS for this honour,” he said.

Head, Brand and Marketing at SystemSpecs, Mr. Moses Braimah, said that the firm is leading e-Payment, financial and human capital management software solutions providers, with over 200 clients that cuts across various sectors of the Nigerian economy and the larger African market.

NITMA is an award designed by NCS to acknowledge, celebrate and reward outstanding corporate organizations and individuals in Nigeria who have played major roles in the development and growth of Information Technology.

Some of the distinguished guests present at the ceremony were; Mrs. Ibukun Odusote, Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Science and Technology; Prof. Cleopas Angaye, Director General of National Information Technology Development Agency; Mr. Ibrahim Tihze, President of Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria; Prof Charles Uwadia, President of NCS; Dr. Chris Uwaje, President of Institute of Software Practitioners among others.
