Optimising your Google mail account (1)

Settling in with Google Mail otherwise known as Gmail could be something worth the while.

Gmail prides itself as a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that electronic mail (email) could be more intuitive, efficient, and useful. And maybe even fun. After all, Gmail has new colours and themes, option to choose from over 30 ways to personalize the look and feel of your inbox. First, you may want to take a minute to familiarize yourself with the navigation links like the compose mail, inbox, starred, chats, sent mail, draft among others.

Inbox shows your conversations; the number in parentheses indicates how many unread conversations you have.

While the Starred shows you only messages you’ve marked with a star, that is using stars to mean whatever you’d such as follow up and for any other reason.

Equally, Gmail Chats lists affords user to archive Chat conversations.

Sent Mail shows messages you’ve sent, even as Drafts houses messages you’ve started and saved to work on later.
