The Nigerian Press Organisation (NPO) has stepped up a new Ombudsman mechanism with a nine-man board of the National Media Complaints Commission (NMCC), otherwise known as the National Ombudsman, reports ITREALMS.
NPO president who doubles as NPAN President, Malam Kabiru A. Yusuf, said in a press statement available to ITREALMS that NMCC, is a major step by the industry to strengthen public confidence in the media through prompt resolution of issues bordering on ethical breaches in media content.
