The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) has issued a stern warning to content creators and social media influencers against the unauthorized filming and sharing of footage featuring unsuspecting members of the public, reports ITREALMS.
In a formal statement, the Commission noted that capturing and broadcasting the images of citizens without their knowledge or consent constitutes a severe violation of the right to informational self-determination.
