The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has partnered with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) to commission a cutting-edge IT Community Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State, reports ITREALMS.

Located at Oladipo Alayande School of Science, the centre is equipped with modern technologies for personalized learning. Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of Nigeria, emphasized the centre's role in achieving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's priority areas, including economic diversification through digitization and innovation.
"We're just getting started. Ten more IT centres will soon be commissioned across various states," Akande said.
She urged the community to take ownership of the centre, stressing that its success depends on active participation.
Oyo State Governor Engr. Oluseyi Makinde praised NITDA and RHI for bringing the initiative to the state, assured support for its sustainability.
The Minister of Communications Dr. Bosun Tijani highlighted the centre's potential to equip youths with globally relevant digital skills.
NITDA DG Kashifu Inuwa described the collaboration as a strategic intervention to boost Nigeria's digital talent pool.
He noted the agency's work with the Ministry of Education to develop a digital literacy curriculum for formal education.
The centre is open to all, and NITDA encourages cross-pollination between the school and community.
This initiative is part of a broader national agenda to enhance digital literacy, reduce unemployment, and foster innovation-driven development.
