Kigali: More speakers emerge for 2023 Mobile World Congress - ITREALMS

More speakers for the 2023 Mobile World Congress (MWC) slated for Kigali, the Rwandan capital have emerged, reports ITREALMS.

According to the organisers, these speakers are global business and African policy thought leaders, thereby they are bringing leading names in the Kenyan government, emerging technologies, mobile communications and public service into the prestigious speaker lineup.

Some of the latest speakers, ITREALMS gathered include Ms Lynn Gitau, Founder, Metaversations, Mr. Derrick Ashong, CEO & Founder, Take Back the Mic, Mr. John Omo, Secretary General, Africa Telecommunications Union (ATU), and the Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei Carrier BG, Mr. Philip Song, among others.

Further, ITREALMS gathered that Lynn Gitau, Founder, Metaversations, is an entrepreneur and thought leader in emerging technologies from Nairobi, Kenya, who focuses on Web 3, AI and the Metaverse. She is the founder of Metaversations, an organisation that evangelises, educates and creates immersive experiences through meaningful collaborations with Metaverse architects, builders and NFT creators in Africa.

While Mr. Derrick Ashong, is the CEO & founder, Take Back the Mic is an Emmy-nominated producer, musician, and entrepreneur. In 2015, he launched the digital media company Amp.it and his production of Take Back the Mic has received critical acclaim. He participated in the Founders First Winter 2018 Bootcamp in San Diego.

Whereas, Mr. John Omo, Secretary General, Africa Telecommunications Union (ATU) which is the African Union’s specialist agency for telecommunications and ICT development in Africa. He leads the continental body entrusted with building consensus within African countries in the development of ICT policies, systems and services, as well as in coordinating African participation in international ICT forums.
