Igbo girl, Mmesoma Ejikeme, makes overall best in 2023 JAMB - ITREALMS

Anambra State born student of the Anglican Girls Secondary School Nnewi (AGSS), Ms Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme has been adjudged the overall best student in the just concluded 2023 Joint Admission Matriculation Board examination (JAMB) for scoring 362 on total aggregate, reports ITREALMS.

Anambra State is one of the core Igbo states in the South Eastern part of Nigeria making the region proud.


Sources close to JAMB informed ITREALMS that the breakdown of her scores were as follows; English 98, Physics 89, Biology 94 and Chemistry 81.


ITREALMS gathered that this feat has brought joy and celebration to her school and the state, as her teachers, parent and fellow students were thrown into jubilation.


Anambra State has once again demonstrated its pride of place as the cradle of academic excellence in the country, even from the days of Peter Obi as governor.


Reacting, the Anambra State Commissioner of Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh commended the brilliant performance by Ms Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme, describing it as "excellent and very outstanding."


Stressing Joy's performance again demonstrated the investment and priority the administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo accords the education sector in the State.


"This outstanding performance of Ejikeme has indeed brought joy and happiness to every Ndi-Anambra. We are proud of her and we will monitor her academic progression as she pursues whatever career she desires," she declared.
