I have listened to the narratives of the Lagos State Government through one of its Learned Senior Counsel at the #EndSARS Panel, to the effect that Nigerians should reject the report of the Panel because I signed it, since I was not present at some of the sittings of the Panel.

I served on the Panel on the mandate of the Governor of Lagos State, who told me on telephone that I was chosen to represent CIVIL SOCIETY. I requested for and approval was granted in writing, that my appointment was on a part-time basis. Furthermore, the Governor told me that two members were chosen to represent civil society on the Panel so that one of us would always be present at the Panel to excuse the absence of the other. I accepted the appointment in good faith, to serve the people, to calm frayed nerves at the time and also to restore normalcy to Lagos State. So, at all times, I functioned in partnership with my colleague from civil society, and there was no major sitting of the Panel in which both of us were absent.

Those who tested positive for COVID-19 as confirmed by a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR test) have increased risk of mental illness, fatigue and sleep problems, finds a new study which analysed the electronic primary care health care records* of 226,521 people from across the United Kingdom (UK) between February 2020 and December 2020, reports

The research, published in The Journal of the American Medical Association Network Open (JAMA Network Open) today, was funded by the National Institute for Health Research Greater Manchester Patient Safety Translational Research Centre (NIHR GM PSTRC). The Centre is a partnership between The University of Manchester and The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

The attention of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offices Commission (ICPC) has been drawn to an inaccurate report titled “Certificate, Age Scandal Rocks ICPC” published on Monday, 15th November, 2021 by the Daily Trust Newspaper.

The Commission strongly refutes in its entirety attempts by the newspaper to malign the Hon. Chairman and Board members with spurious claims that a plan had been hatched to exonerate offenders tagged “loyalists” and those it claimed have been recruited under the current Board.
