Late Mrs Esther Omame: Lagos NUJ, NAWOJ pay condolence visit to BusinessPlus Magazine - ITREALMS

The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ Lagos State Council and National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) have paid a condolence visit to the management of BusinessPlus Magazine over the death of its editor, late Mrs. Esther Omame, reports 
ITREALMS.
The Chairman of Lagos NUJ, Mr Adeleye Ajayi led the high powered delegation comprising of his executive members and NAWOJ chairperson, Mrs. Adiola Ekine.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Ajayi said they were saddened by the sudden demise of Mrs Esther Omame who was not reported to have been sick and described the departed colleague as someone who puts her very best to the growth of BusinessPlus Magazine and NUJ Lagos State Council while alive.

He also said the Council and indeed, her colleagues in the media profession are consoled by the fact that she left an indelible mark in the discharge of her duty, stating that she will fondly be remembered for her principled stand on issues that affect the good of the human race while in the discharge of her duty as a journalist.

Ajayi prayed that the good Lord should repose the soul of the departed and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Equally speaking, the Lagos State NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs Adiola Ekine said that by her demise, NAWOJ has missed a dependable ally and an intelligent colleague as she recalled her immense contribution to the growth of their organization.

In addition, the Vice Chairperson of Lagos NUJ, Mrs Abiola Beckley described late Mrs. Omame as someone who always exhibited team spirit to excel in the media profession and said her positive impacts on the media profession should be sustained.

Welcoming the delegation earlier, the Deputy Editor, BusinessPlus Magazine, Mr Nduka Uzuakpundu expressed appreciation to them on behalf of the management for the visit to condole with them and share in their grief over the death of their Editor, late Mrs. Esther Omame, who he described as vibrant and hard working staff.

The NUJ and NAWOJ delegation later signed the Condolences Register opened since the official announcement of Mrs Omame's death.
