WhatsApp partners NPCI to enable Indians send money - ITREALMS

WhatsApp Messenger powered by Facebook Incorporated has introduced a payment option on messaging platform in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) using the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), reports

Also known as WhatsApp, ITREALMS gathered is an American freeware, cross-platform messaging and Voice over IP service owned by Facebook, which allows users to send text messages and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, and other media.

Revealing the latest add-on to WhatsApp features, the Strategy & Business Development Lead at WhatsApp Inc.
Nmachi Jidenma, told 
ITREALMS that it took years of perseverance to get to this day, November 10, 2020.

"And I'm so proud of what our remarkable team has accomplished!" she said.

Also, Jidenma said "Starting today, people across India will be able to send money through WhatsApp."

According to her, "WhatsApp designed our payments feature in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) using the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), an India-first, real-time payment system that enables transactions with over 160 supported banks."

At WhatsApp, she further said, were excited to join India’s campaign to increase the ease and use of digital payments, which is helping expand financial inclusion in India.
