Medallion emerges most connected data centre of decade - ITREALMS

Multiple award-winning Medallion Communications, has emerged the most connected data centre of the decade at the Nigeria @60 ICT Hall of Fame Awards organised by TechTV in collaboration with techeconomy.ng as the highpoint of the 2020 Titans of Tech Virtual Conference and Expo, reports 
ITREALMS.

Presenting the prestigious Most Connected Data Centre of the Decade Award to Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, Chief executive officer of Medallion Communications, Don Pedro Aganbi, President, noted that over the years Medallion has garnered a reputation as a foremost Telecoms company in Africa. 

"The Company’s transparency, professionalism and forward thinking approach and acumen has helped to catalyze democratize Data Centre operations in Nigeria and indeed the African Continent where its facility is hosting over 83 local and international service providers, making it the most connected Data Centre in Nigeria.

“According to Don Pedro Aganbi, Medallion Communications has persistently and consistently demonstrated a unique appreciation of the role of data facility can play to leapfrog the telecommunication industry and help operators to localize their content to improve the quality of service to subscribers, and to ensure everybody in the ecosystem from the operator to the subscriber gets good telecom service delivered to them at affordable prices”. Aganbi noted.

In his remarks, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani who was also Inducted into the “Nigeria @60 ICT Hall of Fame Award, thanked the organisers for the honour. “This is a reward for hardwork and also consolidates Medallion’s resilience in building telecom infrastructure that is currently accommodating the hosting of contents from both local and international service providers in Nigeria. Medallion Data Center is carrier-neutral and currently provides hosting services to over 83 local and international service providers that are operating in Nigeria. Medallion is also presently strengthening its market footprints by expanding Data Centre services across Nigeria and selected West African nations. In addition to its facilities in Lagos and Abuja, Medallion is creating new facilities in Asaba, Enugu, Port-Harcourt, Kano and Ibadan in its next expansion phase. This is in a bid to address some of the data hosting challenges in the industry. Engr. Nnamani said.

Now in its 16th edition, Titans of Tech is a flagship industry event that annually celebrates excellence in the Nigerian ICT space. Titans of Tech is unique for a lot of reason, the most important is the sheer breadth of sectors, industries, businesses and individuals covered every year.
