LAP congratulates Anambra law makers on inauguration - ITREALMS

The League of Anambra Professionals ( LAP) has congratulated newly elected Anambra senators, house of representative and state house assembly members on their inauguration, assuring them of her support and cooperation in the collective efforts to make Anambra a modern and safe society, reports ITREALMS.

LAP President, Mr Chijioke Okoli SAN in a press statement made available to ITREALMS in Lagos, lauded the peaceful atmosphere under which they were elected and urged them to see their emergence and inauguration as opportunities to serve the people.

"We are delighted that you emerged under peaceful atmospheres in your various constituencies, a situation we note with great pride, as a sign that democracy is increasingly taking firm root in our state.

"It is therefore important that you do all within your legislative powers to improve the quality of life in our state.

"Now that party politics is in abeyance, let us all join hands to develop the Anambra agenda and pursue same vigorously," he said.

Also, LAP drummed the support of the law makers for the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano, stressing the need for cooperation especially from the Abuja law makers in order to sustain the development strides of the state.

While wishing them a fruitful tenure the statement indicated that LAP is prepared and willing to collaborate with the law makers on two of its flagship projects for the year-the Legal Aid Project and the One Anambra, One Agenda Summit.

ITREALMS recalls that the League of Anambra Professionals is a worldwide nonprofit platform for Anambra indigenes to contribute to making Anambra a modern and safe society.

It has since inception, undertaken many activities that are helping to deepen democracy in the state.
