"They must truly take into account the needs of everyone everywhere, including those digitally disenfranchised, in order to ensure the benefits of digital technology are inclusive. This year at ITU Telecom World 2019, an international audience drawn from across the public and private sectors will come together and take concrete steps to collaboratively solve the challenges around extending the benefits of connectivity to all.

"ITU Telecom World 2019 takes place from 9-12 September at Hungexpo, Budapest, Hungary. It combines an international tech exhibition, a forum for sharing knowledge, a networking hub for corporates, governments and SMEs and the influential ITU Telecom World Awards programme.

"It provides a unique international platform that brings together developed and emerging markets, public and private sector leaders, and industry representatives from across the entire ICT ecosystem. At ITU Telecom World, we believe in the power of technology to improve lives everywhere. Supporting sustainable development is also central to our aims and we are working hard to make sure it is central to our events, too," ITU official said.
