Airtel’s 4G to boost Akwa-Ibom productivity says Gov. Udom - ITREALMS

The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, has said the launch of 4G in Akwa Ibom State by leading telecoms operator, Airtel Nigeria, will boost productivity and help drive economic activities across the State, reports ITREALMS.
 
Speaking  at the formal unveiling of Airtel’s 4G Network in Uyo, the Governor who was represented by his Secretary to the Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, said “4G is for productivity, business growth, enhanced performance, ease of doing business and speed.
 
“4G is productivity in ubiquity and I must thank Airtel for modernizing its network in Akwa Ibom and for rolling out 4G. I, therefore, urge indigenes and residents of Akwa Ibom to use this opportunity maximally because 4G is not for fun as it can drive and speed up economic activities and productivity,” he said.
 
The Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Moses Frank Ekpo, in his submission, commended Airtel for its 4G network roll-out in Akwa Ibom, noting that the government is committed to ensuring a favourable, conducive and peaceful environment for businesses to thrive.
 
“We are pleased with Airtel’s network modernization programme and we are happy to partner with Airtel on ICT and security. As you know, we require technology to help us remain the most peaceful State in Nigeria and we will collaborate with Airtel to creating an enabling environment for all,” he said.
 
Also speaking at the event, the Paramount Ruler of Uyo, Edidem Sylvanus Okon (JP), revealed that he has been a loyal and happy customer of Airtel for about 13 years and he felicitates with the telecommunications services provider on its network modernization programme in Akwa Ibom.
 
“The Royal Palace uses the Airtel network for mobile Internet. And we are happy that you have upgraded your network in Akwa Ibom State. We will continue to collaborate with you and other organizations to sustain the peace in Uyo as Airtel’s Installations have never been vandalized in Uyo since it started operations.”
 
The colourful event to herald Airtel’s 4G services in Akwa Ibom held at the EEMJM Hotel & Suites in Uyo, and it was attended by top government officials and corporate elites.
