ZOOMmobile repositions

Reliance Telecommunications Limited trading as ZOOMmobile has announced the appointment of four key personnel in the firm.

The latest appointments include that of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mr. Chux Agbaeze, chief risk control officer (CRCO), Mr. Sola Oladokun, Head, Corporate Communication and Strategy, Mr. Usman Amodu-Shuaibu and the National Sales Manager, Mr. Michael Gongul.

A press statement from the telco endorsed by the Executive Vice Chairman, Mr. Ken Aigbinode said, the changes were initiated to ensure optimal returns to shareholders and towards improving productivity and achieving measurable progress.

Additionally, he said that the appointment was part of the on-going process to strengthen its leadership to enable the company continue on the path of offering top-quality services to subscribers.

He also said that Mr. Agbaeze in his new role as the CFO will oversee all company accounting practices including store and stock departments, preparation of budgets, financial reports, tax and external audit functions.

Agbaeze is also expected to direct financial strategy and planning as well as actively undertake the proper funding of the company’s overall business and ensure financial stability.

Mr. Agbaeze, an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), joined ZOOMmobile after a 15 year stint at Akintola Williams Deloitte.

Mr. Oladokun on the other hand, as the Chief Risk Control Officer will resume as the pioneer divisional head of newly created section.

He will supervise audit, internal control and revenue assurance departments, in addition to have the key responsibility to advise executive management on the overall risk exposure of the company.

Also, Oladokun is a fellow of ICAN and an alumnus of the Lagos Business School. He was the former CFO and has been with ZOOMmobile since 2007.

For Amodu-Shuaibu, he will serve concurrently as the manager in charge of Strategic Planning and Business Development as well as supervising all Corporate Communications functions. Usman is assuming this role with a career experience spanning 18 years in different capacity and in several industries.

He holds a postgraduate diploma in Petroleum Economics and an MBA in Marketing. He is a Class president and member of Governing council Lagos Business School Alumni Association.

Equally, Mr. Michael Gongul assumes a country-wide sales responsibility as the National Sales Manager, while reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. Mike was until his recent appointment, the Head, wholesale and retail and has been with the company since 2006 after a stint with MTN.
