DSS says Magu not arrested - ITREALMS

ITREALMS:

The National Headquarters of the Department of State Security (DSS) has denied arresting the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Mr. Ibrahim Magu on Monday in Abuja, reports ITREALMS.

A press statement available to ITREALMS by the DSS Public Relations Officer, Dr. Peter Afunanya, entitled "Magu, not arrested by DSS" said the reports by a cross section of media was not correct.

According to him, DSS "wishes to inform the public that it did not arrest Ibrahim MAGU, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)."

He also lamented that the Service, has since, today, 6th July, 2020, been inundated with enquiries over the alleged arrest.
