TAA releases report on co-location forum-09

The organizers of the Co-Location Forum 2009, Telecom Answers Associates (TAA), has announced the release of its official report and industry plan of action for the event.

Chief executive of Telecom Answers Associates, Mr. Titi Omo-Ettu, said in a public statement made available to ITRealms Online said that the report and industry plan of action on co-location and sharing of telecommunications infrastructure.

According to him, “Notice is hereby given to delegates to the Co-location Forum 2009 that courier delivery of free personal copies of the Report and Industry Plan of Action on the proceedings of the above forum has now been completed.”

Mr. Omo-Ettu also said that a copy of the report was delivered to every delegate who provided a forwarding address and equally to the Chief Executives of the industry players they represented at the Forum.

“Agencies of Governments, Trade Associations, Foreign Embassies, and Public Libraries also received copies. Only a few were returned undelivered,” he said.

Omo-Ettu pointed out that the scope and validity of the industry players’ data reproduced in the report was collated from what was provided at the Forum on May 19, 2009 including updates and information that were researched later.

Additionally, he said, Telecom Answers Associates is already facilitating implementation of the major issues of the forum at various levels, just as his firm’s CyberschuulNews, an e-publication as well as an open access repository of information about contemporary and emerging major industry events, plays host to more information on the forum among others.

He listed some of the content in the report to include the summary objective of the Co-location Forum, Communiqué of the Co-location Forum 2009, summary of presentations, licensed Co-location Companies, telecom industry players database, infrastructure Resource survey, the resource centre, Nigeria: Telecom Growth Chart, post deregulation, and Nigeria: ISP Concentration 2006.

The report, he further said, could be purchased from the Nigeria Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (N.I.E.E.E), at Victoria Island, Lagos.
