The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) hosted some journalists in Lagos to a capacity building workshop with the theme: Enhancing Media Competencies to Support Nigerian Content in a Gas Economy, reports ITREALMS.
Dr Ginah of NCDmB
The event organized annually by the board for media practitioners to enhance their capacity and competence in the field of journalism.

In his welcoming remark, Chief Supervisor, Corporate Communications Department (CCD) of NCDMB, Obinna Ezeobi, said that the main purpose of the event was to build competence and capacity of media stakeholders so that they would be better informed and to aid their journalism practice.

In addition, he said, the workshop afforded participants to gain legal counsel and avoid profession landmines in the cause of duty.

Also speaking at the workshop, General Manager, Corporate Communications & Zonal Coordination, NCDMB, Dr. Ginah O. Ginah, revealed that the Board is setting targets for future reference.

“I want to reiterate those focus areas for us based on the theme of the workshop on gas to help us accelerate Nigerian content in the gas sector of the economy,” he said.

“What we’re going to measure ourselves is: one, by this time next year, we ask ourselves how much has NCDMB as an agency increase the output from its existing gas initiatives and partnerships and how much more additional projects it is putting on the table?” Ginah said.
