ND SatCom displays SkyVIP at IBC-05

LEADING global supplier of satellite-based broadband Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT), broadcast and defense communication network solutions, ND SatCom, has introduced its latest technology platform, SkyVIP at the just ended IBC 2005 in Amsterdam.

IBC 2005 held between September 8 and 12, Amsterdam, Netherlands, as the exhibition recorded a number of visitors with attendance passing last year's total to about 43,000, which is 5 per cent up from 2004 figure.

SkyVIP is purpose-built to serve the connectivity, traffic and quality demands of corporate and governmental customers as well as satellite service providers and operators, and to deliver to their end-customers all the capabilities of next generation mid-sized star Internet Protocol (IP) topology environment.

The officials also informed that SkyVIP would be available from the end of September this year.

The new SkyVIP is regarded as star broadband platform provides easy-to-handle, plug-and-play, secure, reliable, fast and high performance IP connectivity.

Equipped with ND SatCom’s unique Adaptive Networking technology, Adaptive TCP Acceleration and the Frame Plan Generator, SkyVIP is ND SatCom’s state-of-the-art answer to the market’s ever-evolving business communication requirements.

This offers network control facilities and hub traffic redundancy features which ensure
constant network availability., Sinclair said.

“Thus, SkyVIP supports a fully-blown IP network with lowest capital expenditure in the market through its truly scalable, modular hub architecture. ND SatCom developed the most affordable, flexible, efficient and eye-catching IP hub and remote station within the industry,” the official said.

Through the Adaptive Networking access software, he said, remote stations get all available capacity after starting the transmission.

“A major gain in efficiency is that if no data is being transmitted, no space capacity is being occupied by the idle remote terminal. All traffic on all active remotes share the same space capacity,” he asserted.

Explaining that the product supports a broad set of features enabling applications Such as bottleneck-less corporate service for remote offices, cost-saving premium Voice the Internet Protocol (VoIP), Local Area Network cum Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) interconnection, data transfer and dynamic internet access.
