The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has officially granted operating licences to six new Internet Service Providers (ISPs), signalling a major push to deepen competition in Nigeria’s broadband market, reports ITREALMS.
The new licences, which became effective on January 1, 2026, ITREALMS gathered, have increased the total number of authorised ISPs in the country to 231, up from 225 recorded in December 2025.
